This dress is made entirely from a heavy weight plaid fashion fabric, which has a texture similar to wool (with a much smaller price tag)! It’s trimmed with green material of the same weight and vintage lace.
It’s a two piece ensemble, with a bodice that buttons closed at the front, and a skirt that buttons up the back. The bodice had pleated details across the bust as apposed to the more common darted bodices, these match the skirt, which has deep one inch pleats. I drafted all the patterns for this costume, and made it myself.
I have three posts about the construction process.

Making the Sleeves
Making the Skirt

I really enjoyed following the making of this dress. (It was just like what the March sisters wore in Little Women!) Could you possibly post the measurements of he material you used for the skirt?
I totally forgot that I haven’t written the post about the skirt! I need to get on that. I think it was four 43″ wide by 56″(?) panels that were french seamed together and pleated at the top.
Thanks! Now I only have to convince my three sisters to wear plaid dresses for Halloween… mwahaha.
